| Plan on attending
Portland/Vancouver area's ONLY Indoor Kite Festival in Camas,
Washington, November 3rd and 4th, 2007.
Yes, we really do mean Indoor Kite Festival. Most people
picture a blustery day at the beach as being perfect for kite
flying. However, if you have the right kite and know how to do
it, you can fly kites indoors without ANY wind at all, and have great
fun even if the weather outside is
frightful!
So everyone can
enjoy this great sport, expert indoor kite fliers from
Washington, Oregon and Canada are coming to Camas to demonstrate the
art and teach kids of all ages how to soar without
wind.
There will be 4 competitions that will
count towards a regional championship and qualification to
compete at the American Kite Flyers National Championships.
$2 gets you in both days. ($3 for a
family of two adults and children 12 and under.)
Included free is a kit to make your own kite.
Once you have built your
kite at a workshop or brought one with you, you can test fly it in the Upper Gym
Area.
Free windless flying space in the upper gym is available to practice what
you've learned. And they'll teach you for free
at the times indicated in the schedule. You just
need to get out on that floor and
try.
